Genuinely half price for the full experience
Ever fancied being on a podcast? This is how.
01 · The honest bit
Most people hope someone will ask them on as a guest. That invite rarely comes and the ones you see everywhere didn't wait for it.
When someone suggests starting a podcast, the sensible part of your brain says: that's a huge commitment. What would I talk about for a whole series? What if I'm terrible on camera? What if I spend the money and hate it? Fair questions.
So don't start with a series. Record one episode, properly, in your own time and space with nothing riding on it. If you hate the result, it never has to go anywhere. Either way you'll have learnt the process, picked up some tips, and had honest feedback from a team that makes podcasts for a living.
02 · How the pilot works
A pilot is the full Gen XO treatment on a single episode. The same studio, crew and edit our series clients get.
Our Halesowen studio, set up and waiting: three cameras, broadcast quality audio, lighting done. Bring a guest, a colleague, or just yourself. Solo episodes work brilliantly.
This is your show, your conversation. A member of the team is on hand throughout looking after cameras, sound and lighting, so the only thing you think about is talking. Most people forget the cameras are there within ten minutes.
Full professional edit of your episode, plus 3 to 4 social clips cut from your strongest moments, ready for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or anywhere you want to get visible.
When it's ready we send everything over for your sign off. Want feedback? We'll happily tell you what worked and what we'd try differently next time. Then it's yours. You own all of it.
WHAT ONE EPISODE DOES
A pilot isn't just a nice experience — it leaves you with assets that work long after the studio lights go off. The full episode becomes something you can send a prospect after a meeting, embed on your site, or drop into an email instead of "here's a bit about us."
The 3 to 4 clips go out across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, so your face starts showing up in the feeds of the exact people you want to work with. That's what visibility actually buys you: warmer conversations, shorter sales cycles, and being the name people already recognise before you've said a word. Most business owners are invisible to their own market. One episode starts to fix that.
03 · Why £250
A single produced episode is normally £500. That's the studio session plus the edit and clips, and it's what our clients pay for one-off shoots.
We're running five pilot slots at half price because we think more business owners should see and hear themselves on a proper podcast before deciding whether it's for them. Some will do one episode and stop. That's fine, you'll still have content most people pay a videographer double or triple for. Some will want to keep going. Either way, you'll know.
Five pilot slots per month, so the studio diary stays honest. When they're gone, they're gone.
04 · Your other options
Genuinely fine for audio-only shows, and free. But video is what earns attention now, and DIY video means kit, lighting, sound-treating a room, and learning editing software. Most people quit at the editing.
Good ones are worth it. Expect £500 to £1,000 for a day's filming, with editing often billed on top, and you'll still need somewhere decent to shoot.
Honestly the most expensive option. Your competitors' faces keep showing up in your prospects' feeds, and yours doesn't.
Studio, crew, edit and clips in one booking, for £250. It exists so you can find out if podcasting suits you. That costs an hour, not a leap of faith.

05 · Who you'll work with
Gen XO is a Birmingham video and media agency. Podcasts, video production and editing are what we do all day, every day, for business owners across the UK and internationally.
Founder Abdullah Zobaer has spent years building audiences with video, including his own of over 4 million followers. The same team that produces our clients' high-end productions, podcast series and social media content will produce your pilot.

06 · After your pilot
Plenty of pilot clients decide one great episode is exactly what they wanted.
Others watch their clips back and want a proper podcast series, and because your
pilot was produced like a real episode it slots straight in as episode one, should
you want it to.
You don't need to make that call now. We'll bring it up once your episode's
delivered. If it's not for you, no hard feelings and no follow-up campaign. You
came, you recorded, and you left with content you own outright.
Almost everyone is for the first ten minutes, then the conversation takes over. And that's what the edit is for: pauses, stumbles and false starts don't make the cut. You'll be surprised who you are on screen.
No. Solo episodes work well, and some of the best shows are one person talking straight to their audience. If you'd rather bring a guest, colleague or client, even better.
One fully edited episode (video and audio) plus 3 to 4 social clips, delivered ready to post. You own everything, forever, whatever you decide to do next.
Usually within two weeks of your session. When the diary is busy it can take a little longer, but we guarantee everything within a month.
Whatever you'd happily talk about with a good client for an hour. If you're not sure, get in touch before your session. We can send you a short guide, or jump on a quick planning call, so you walk in knowing exactly what the hour looks like.
